Spring is here and it’s Open Studios time once again.

Since my partner Simon died in October 2022 I’ve not been very creative, however, I’ve found the Open Studios to be a great opportunity for inspiration.

Visitors to the Open Studios are always so kind and appreciative about the work I have on display and they get me talking about my work which gets me thinking about new pieces. I also love having guest artists to display their works alongside mine as they bring new energy to the space.

This year I have invited Ruty Benjamini and Wilf Frost to be my guest artists.  Ruty makes delicate organic creations with ceramics and Wilf paints colourful funky paintings often on up-cycled wood.

This year I hope to offer some visitors a chance at being creative by making a small embossed work of their own. Literally by “taking a turn” on my etching press.

The Open Studios will be open from 1pm to 6pm on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th of March 2024.

Accessibility: The ceramics and some of the paintings will be on the ground floor. There are lots of stairs to the upper studio where the etching press is located.
