Brockley Open Studios – 6th & 7th July 2024

Inner Wobble

“Inner Wobble” Embossed glass piece 75 x 75 cm made from recycled clear glass.

It is June already and nearly time for Brockley Open Studios. This event is when Brockley artists open their studio doors to the art loving public.  There will be 50 artists taking part this year which is more than usual. You can download a map from the website which lists all the artists and shows you where to find them.

I am very excited because this year I will be exhibiting with Eryka Isaak at “Deep Space”,  her house in Ashby Mews, the epicentre of the event. Living on the edge of the catchment area I tend to get around 40 – 60 visitors per day, whereas artists in Ashby Mews get around 200 + visitors per day. Eryka, who is a glass sculptor designed and built her house “Deep Space” with her husband Sam. The house appeared on television a few years ago and they took part in Open House London last September (2023). They designed the house to have two large studio spaces on the ground floor, one for Eryka and one for a guest artist.

Eryka has kindly invited myself and Ruty Benjamini  (ceramic artist) it to exhibit with her this year. We are both delighted.
