My stand at Grand Designs Live

Here I am at Grand Designs Live, on the Design Arcade, Stand E14, showing a selection of my textured paintings to the multitude of visitors who are wandering by. I decided to focus on reds and oranges this year and people are often stopped in their tracks by the blast of colour!  I’m really enjoying meeting and chatting with people from all walks of life.

Several pieces have found new homes, and others are still waiting.

Solar Cell – mixed media acrylic and gold leaf

Solar Cell has been getting a lot of attention, one visitor compared it to the sea bed with fossils and sea creatures, another saw the shapes as millipedes on the sun. I find it fascinating how many different interpretations there can be.

As well as the vibrant reds, I have also included some pure white and gold pieces, which bring a sense of peace to the stand. Such as “Our God is the Same God” and “Magnificence”. Some visitors prefer these to the colourful ones.
